A Message From Our President
Does Experience Count? Only When You Have It.
After working for a New York City home care agency for over 9 years, I decided to relocated my family to South Florida. I had been working as a long-term care assessment specialist, conducting nursing assessments for many of the long-term care insurance companies. It was here that I honed my nursing assessment skills. I completely focused my career on long-term care, and the insurance policies that provided long term care coverage.
In 2007, I befriended one of my patients. He was an elderly gentleman who appreciated the care I provided, and encouraged me to start my own home care agency. After working for two private duty home care agencies, I began to see the need for improvements. I witnessed many mismatched caregivers and clients, and saw the quality of their care suffer tremendously.
I believed that matching the “right” caregiver with the “right” client was one of, if not the most important thing an agency could do.
This gentleman believed in my ability to make a difference in the home-health-care-field. Although he was 86 years old, he was an active philanthropist and a very successful business man. He saw this venture as a wonderful opportunity and a chance to help other seniors who would require excellent help. He not only loaned me the money, but he became my business partner!
Finally, in 2008 Platinum Select Nursing LLC was born, with the goal of bringing back that “old-fashioned nursing care” to the profession. It’s what I refer to as nursing basics….”personal care and companionship.”Our mission was to elevate the standard of care, provided by home health aides, caregivers and nurses, to the “Platinum level of care.”
My partner passed away a little over 3 years ago. He leaves a legacy behind, knowing that Platinum Select Nursing reached their goals. We strive to provide exceptional care to those people that need and deserve it.
We are passionate about what we do and it shows. Everyone here at Platinum is committed to providing the very best in care-giving and customer service.
“It’s all about how you make people feel. It’s about building relationships and earning the trust of not only our clients, but their families as well. It is a testament to our level of care, that most of our clients come to us through personal referrals and word of mouth recommendations. We treat everyone as if they were our family.”
